CVE-2026-8713

theme-fusion avada_builder Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal')

Published Jun 18, 2026 · corrected/updated Jun 18, 2026 · theme-fusion avada_builder · evidence confidence very high

The Avada (Fusion) Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the maybe_delete_files function in all versions up to, and including, 3.15.3. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). The attack requires a published Avada form configured to save entries to the database; an unauthenticated attacker submits a path-traversal payload via the wp_ajax_nopriv_fusion_form_submit_aj
