# SuiteCRM — Record-level Authorization Bypass via AOR_Reports changeReportPage ## Severity **Moderate** — CWE-639 / CWE-863 ## Affected Version - SuiteCRM 7.15.1 (confirmed) - Likely affects all earlier 7.x builds with the same controller pattern --- ## Summary An authenticated low-privileged user can bypass record-level access restrictions on protected records by calling non-view controller actions directly. While correctly denies access, renders the full report body and row data without a per-record ACL check — allowing unauthorized disclosure of report contents including data from restricted modules. --- ## Real World Impact Scenario In a SuiteCRM deployment where sales reports aggregate sensitive data — pipeline values, customer revenue, confidential account names — an admin restricts report visibility to owner-only. A standard sales rep account can bypass this restriction entirely by calling directly, reading the full report output including all underlying restricted records. The UI correctly shows "No Access" — giving a false sense of security while the bypass remains open via direct action calls. --- ## Reporter **Yash Shendge** ashrexon@yashshendge.com May 16, 2026
