## Summary Four stored cross-site scripting sink variants appear to remain outside the fix for GHSA-jm2f-ch62-rpxr. They are caused by unsafe HTML attribute construction in OPNsense WebGUI pages, where stored or cached values are interpolated into HTML strings without attribute-context escaping. Dynamic browser execution was confirmed for: 1. Firewall Alias category tooltip attribute injection 2. IPsec SPD description tooltip attribute injection 3. Traffic Shaper relation description tooltip attribute injection in Firewall Rules 4. Suricata metadata property attribute injection in IDS Policy Editor The duplicate IPsec SAD renderer is static-equivalent to the confirmed SPD sink but was not separately confirmed with a live browser alert. Tested affected version: OPNsense . ## Relationship to GHSA-jm2f-ch62-rpxr / d0ffce2 The following previously reported field issues appear to be covered by and are not included as active missing items in this follow-up: - Suricata rule metadata XSS, through the generic change that removed before insertion into fields. - Auth Group/User DOM XSS, through the same generic form mapper change. The relevant change is: This follow-up focuses on the remaining unsafe attribute-construction sinks that do not appear to be covered by . ## Findings ### 1. Firewall Alias Category Tooltip Attribute Injection **Suggested severity: Medium when a referenced category already exists** — the writer privilege ( ) and victim privilege ( ) are separate. The Alias page recovers the category name as text and then concatenates it into a single-quoted attribute without attribute-context encoding: **Execution PoC**: Create a Firewall category with name: Assign it to an alias. Open and hover the colored category dot. Generated DOM: **Reporting note**: This is an unpatched sink for the same source field and mecha
